The Mae Sot border is currently closed to foreigners for border bouncing. The only open border crossing with Myanmar is the Ranong Pier/Kawthaung border, accessible by boat. Other borders such as Mae Sot/Myawaddy, Phu Nam Ron/Htee Khee, and Mae Sai/Tachileik are not operational for this purpose.

We get this question a LOT and the answer is NO 😮

the Mae Sot/Myawaddy border in Tak, the Phu Nam Ron/Htee Khee border in Kanchanaburi and the Mae Sai/Tachileik border in Chiang Rai are all closed.

The ONLY border with Burma that's open is the Ranong Pier/Kawthaung border in Ranong (the one where you bounce out and back by boat)
