You're wrong about that.

This is a Red necked Keelback.

It's one of very few snakes that are poisonous.

It is also venomous.

that's a dangerous and not correct assumption. Although the majority of venomous snakes don't have round eyes there are exceptions - cobra is one of them

You're wrong.

The Ratsnake living on my ceiling would not keep our house rodent free if it was dead.

The best way to find out if its venomous is to tickle it's belly and smack it around.

Put it into the "Snakes of Isaan" Group. Likely a Golden Tree Snake. Which would be harmless, aka non venomous.

Chrysolpya Ornarta Golden tree Snake, rear fanged, mildly venomous, could only be problematic if you are allergic to the venom or sustain a long bite where the snake has the chance to work it's fangs into you and deliver a good dose of venom. #not admin

Yup, golden.. I typically find these guys & field mice under my hood in winter (professionally sealed the vents shut so they can't get in car) and trying to get into my house in rain season (like yesterday)... I've never had an aggressive one. They are however curious and love eating rats, geckos, and other small rodents. very easy to move along-πŸ™ƒ

not harmful till you know you are allergic πŸ˜‰ If you are, treat all kind of tropical snakes especially multicolor as a potentially danger and take necessary precautions.
