Applied for dtv with soft power Muay Thai yesterday 9:30 pm and got approved today 11:45 pm. Applied in Hanoi.
Sent last 3 months of bank statements + screenshot of my app (I had more than 500.000 baht so maybe this made that it went so quickly with approval)
Receipt of dinner in Hanoi, plane ticket to Hanoi, and 2 last pages of passport.
And boxing commission letter + invitation letter (info Muay Thai gym, proof payment for classes etc).
I had never expected it to go so fast after reading all the messages here! So wanted to share this experience here. It can go very fast! 😃

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience of applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Hanoi, which was approved within 26 hours. They submitted specific documentation including bank statements showing over 500,000 baht, a receipt for dinner, a plane ticket, and letters related to their Muay Thai training. This quick approval surprised the user, contrasting with the frustrations expressed by others who have faced delays in the application process.
Either you are a troll, or the embassy is trolling with applications and enjoys rejecting them left and right without caring about who sent them. Remote workers and freelancers who would actually contribute more to Thailand’s economy either get rejected right away or are asked to provide a bunch of pathetic additional documents.
Now we have proof that Thai embassies are working drunk during their working hours, because I applied 14 days ago from Hanoi and it’s still pending without any additional notice.
