TLDR : Answer Summary
The processing time for an e-visa at the DC Consulate is generally fast, and users have reported receiving their visas in about 5 days. However, experiences can vary depending on the consulate, with some reporting slower processing times at other locations like LA. Additionally, some commenters noted that the visa exemption allows for a stay of 45 days, extendable by another 30 days, suggesting it may be a better option for travelers planning a longer visit.

Why bother? Visa exemption is 45 days now and can be extended for another 30 days, totaling 75 days. TR visa is a hassle and costs money and only gives you 15 days more.

Depends on the consulate you need to use. DC is usually pretty fast. I've heard LA can be a bit slow though.
