TLDR : Answer Summary
If you need bank statements from DKB in English, you can switch the language settings in your online banking to English and export your transactions as a PDF. Alternatively, you can request an English confirmation of your account balance directly from DKB. If you have physical statements in German, consider adding a translation or obtaining assistance from a German embassy in Thailand, as they can accept documents in their original language.
Thai embassies and consulates are required to accept documents in original language of the country where their diplomatic residence is. Everything else would be an affront of diplomatic etiquette

Where do you apply? the embassies in germany accept all documents in german language.
Anyway, you should be able to login to your online banking, change to english version, export your transactions into a pdf. very easy. no need to deal with those auto-generated monthly statements.
can also allways translate with ChatGPT and then replace the text on the PDF with Adobe Acrobat for example

I have it with DKB and you can change the language. You can also send them a message for an English confirmation of your account balance or the day, all together worked for me.
Attach addendum with translations to English and Thai
Or apply via a German Thai embassy where they will have staff that can likely read it

Isn't uploading the monthly account list enough? "Account statement" in English is the translation of the "Kontostands-Auszug". . das ist kein Brief und auch keine extra Bestätigung der Bank !!

Yeah bro but all the words are in german so if they are serious they cant even read the "balance" cause its called "Kontostand". Really not sure if they will accept it

correct. That stupid Thai online system is asking for an "account statement" but actually what they want to see is the "balance"

Use Google or something to translate it.

Honestly a bank statement is mostly digits, if the statement is for funding proof there isn't too much to highlight other than the 500k, account number, bank name, and account owner name.
the problem is on the Thai side. They choose "bank statement" but actually what they want to see is the "balance" . . the passbook balance or printed balance sheets. They do not ask for a letter "statement" from the bank. Typical Thai. Same like calling a stay permit extension a "visa extension"
yes the thai embassy in frankfurt only wants to see an account overview with the final balance in your bank account. no need for any transactions/statements
you could use DeepL translate for documents. I was able to translate Estonian bank statements to German and English a while back. Sometimes the formating was a bit out of wack but I was able to edit the PDFs.
