The user is inquiring about the reliability of obtaining a single entry tourist visa from the Thai Royal Consulate in Medan, Sumatra, Indonesia, as there are no recent reports available. A commenter mentions that the consulate is an Honorary one, generally considered less demanding than others and suggests the experience might resemble that of acquiring a visa in Bali.

In the last years of browsing various forums and threads I don't recall seeing a report for Medan. What I would say is, it's a Thai Honorary Consulate, and they are the least demanding out of them all. Generally, it's Embassy - more demanding, Consulate - less demanding, Honorary Consulate - easiest. So if I was to take a guess I would expect the experience to be similar to Bali, which is also Honorary.
