hello, just to clarify - with the e-visa system is there any need to visit the embassy in person when submitting the application?

I am applying in Ho Chi Minh City

Is the submission done entirely online, and the only time that you go to the embassy is to have the Visa stamped in your passport if you are approved, or if they invite you for interview for additional information?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The e-visa application process for Thailand is completed entirely online, and you typically do not need to visit the embassy in person unless asked for an interview. If approved, the visa will be sent to you as a PDF via email, which you should print and keep with your passport. Regarding its use, you do not need to attach it to your passport; just carry it as a separate document.

should we glue the PDF onto our passport or keep it separately as a document?

Do they accept only the original or can I photocopy it as if it's just a loose piece of paper it seems pretty easy to lose haha

Completely online unless being asked in for an interview. Visa is a PDF file emailed to you that you print out and keep with your passport.
