I'm saying yes . As the hotel I was staying at in Klong Muang beach had a tour desk offering day trips to the islands

Don’t know about that, but there used to be a ticket on the ferry that allowed you to travel to Phuket, Pi Pi, Koh Lanta and back to Au Nang. You could get on and off and stay a few days at each destination.
