Can I continue to use my Elite visa if I obtain a work permit after starting a business in Thailand?

Elite visa & working - I realise that Elite does not grant permission to work, my question though is if you get a 5 year Elite, then let's say 2 years in you decide to open a business and get a work permit - are you able to continue using the remaining 3 years of the Elite visa rather than Non-B (so having Elite + Work Permit), or are the remaining 3 years of the Elite visa essentially wasted?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Thai Elite Visa does not grant permission to work; however, if you obtain a work permit after starting a business while on the Elite Visa, you can continue to use the remaining duration of your Elite visa alongside the work permit. This means that the remaining years of the Elite visa are not wasted.

The best part of this Thai Elite Visa is that they have a multi-lingual help desk to answer all your questions, directly from the source. I would suggest just contact them:
