Answer summary
The user is currently in Thailand and looking to apply for an education visa. They are considering using a VPN to apply online and are uncertain about the process, particularly due to the requirement to re-enter Thailand for activation. Commenters clarify that schools typically handle the visa paperwork, and it’s possible to change from a visa exemption to an education visa at an immigration office without needing to leave the country.

Where you plan to apply online? And you don't need to go outside to activate Ed visa, you can change visa exemption to Ed in immigration office without border crossing.
