I read a troubling report in the other group(tm) this morning about a South African having trouble doing a border run at Kanchanaburi. Someone else said there are other countries that have also been refused.

Do any of you know about borders with Myanmar refusing to accept South Africans and perhaps some other nationalities. Apparently from somewhere early this year.

Also, if I am denied a border run at Mae Sai, can I ride to Chiang Khong and cross over into Laos to do the same? I have never had to think beyond a border run at Mae Sai.
