Hi all,
last week I arrived once again on single tourist visa at Suvarnabhumi Airport. After a long interview by the immigration officers and showing additional documents (financial status, income, relationship to my Thai girlfriend) it came out that I can't be considered as tourist anymore. However, I was allowed to enter the Kingdom one very last time with 60 days granted.
That's all fine to me. Within the last years I stayed many times on TR visa and lately long periods on covid extension. So, nothing to complain about.
I just started the process to get all required documents to marry my girlfriend in Thailand. However, until we can marry it could take up to 3 months or even more (German bureaucracy) . So, it might take too long to stay in Thailand and apply for a marriage visa. Furthermore, we had planned a trip to my home in Germany for next month.
So, my big question:
Could I leave the Kingdom and come back on 30 day exception for the marriage??
Does anyone has experience with the 30 exception after being on the immigration "watch list"??
As I learned from the Homepage of the Thai embassy in Germany, I must not have stayed more than 90 days within the last half year when entering Thailand. About the intent of stay I got contradictory information: It's only for tourists or you can always enter Thailand on this scheme!?? ๐ค
