The dumb question I have is : why is the thai consulate Chicago website saying 3 million baht required in Thai bank for non immigrant long stay 50+ o e visa for the first year and Iam reading from this FB page 800000 baht? One is for new visa and one for existing visa holders? I would be new one year visa o e non immigrant retiree applicant. TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry addresses a discrepancy regarding the financial requirements for the NON-O 50+ visa for retirees, specifically whether 3 million baht is needed in a Thai bank account as stated by the Thai Consulate in Chicago, or if 800,000 baht is sufficient as seen on other platforms. Clarification is sought on the differences between new visa applications versus existing visa holders.
