What visa options are available for a partner of a non-married expat with a child in Thailand?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice about long-term stays in Thailand.
My partner and I are not legally married, but we have one child together. My partner is almost 50 years old and works online/remotely.
Are there any visa options that would allow him to stay in Thailand for several months at a time, or possibly live there more long-term?
Would love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation or knows which visa options might suit us. Thank you!

There are only 2 visas which legally allow remote work from Thailand.
1) DTV
2) LTR
The DTV is relatively easy to get, but the LTR has significantly higher requirements, including showing you make at least $80,000 per year and showing that the employer had at least $50 million in revenue over the last 3 years.
