I need to get a covid test so I can travel to the United States through an airport in Japan via United Airlines. Can it be ATK or does it need to be PCR? What's the best place to get a covid test in Bangkok on a Saturday afternoon? Do I need to make an appointment or can I just walk in?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When traveling to the United States via Japan with United Airlines, you need to check if a PCR or ATK (Antigen Test Kit) is accepted for your travel. In Bangkok, there are several places at Suvarnabhumi Airport that allow walk-in COVID tests, but some services, like Dr Donna at Medconsult, may require an appointment. It's advisable to check recent comments or posts in local expat groups for the latest options and experiences.
There are a couple of places in Suvarnabhumi that are walk in. Search the group, some people have commented on them. There is always Dr Donna, Medconsult as well but I believe you need an appointment.
Vaccination status does not matter. Where did you get the idea that the Japanese government, airlines or airports have any requirement for transit passengers?
A customer service representative at Suvarnabhumi Airport said I would need to comply with transit covid requirements for the Tokyo airport, but she wasn't sure what they are. Here's what United Airlines says about it:
As absurd as Japan continues to be about entry, they have always been normal with transit
