Here is my timeline; total 40 days applied Tokyo embassy

July 16 — application submitted

July 29 — additional document requested by Embassy

July 29 — submitted the requested document on the same day

August 5 — interview requested, their choice of time and date; no option for you to select

August 10 — attended interview at the embassy

August 25 — DTV delivered by email
