Do you need to fill out TDAC arriving in bangkok? I have my DTV approved. Traveling today for the first time with it.
Answer summary
Yes, filling out the TDAC (Traveler Declaration and Arrival Card) is mandatory for every traveler with a foreign passport entering Thailand, including those with an approved DTV visa. It should be completed online within three days prior to arrival or can be done upon arrival at the airport, although doing it online is recommended to avoid delays.

Yes.

TDAC is still required for everyone arriving in Thailand, including DTV holders.

Fill it out online before arrival and keep the confirmation (digital is fine).

Can do in airport on arrival. Takes 5 mins

No, you can stand in immigration line without it, get send back to fill it out and queue again. I recommend to do this at 2 AM at Don Mueang Airport. It's most fun when the planes from India and China land.

Or, just do it online even if it's booring 😉

Always need TDAC but if you don't do it before you arrive they will just make you do it in the airport so worse case scenario is just extra delay on arrival. I did mine online on my phone while in Malaysia but the system was playing up so I ended up doing it on arrival. Everyone has to do it but it's not going to ruin your journey if you don't do it beforehand.

Luit *****************
MagentaWallaby8738 Well, then you should submit it exactly at 72 hours, 0 minutes and 0 seconds before arrival.

I prefer to do it when it suits me in that 3 day window in which I am supposed to submit.

it cleary says for me 3 days in advance of the arrival date

MagentaWallaby8738 The rules says WITHIN 3 days, that means maximum 3 days before arrival and not at least 3 days before arrival.

Not if you have a laminated DTV - that raises you above the plebian class in line. In fact it means you can go straight to the front of the queue. If any underling complains just wave the laminate in their face and barge past. Do not even acknolwedge them.

MagentaWallaby8738 or A1 if you really want to stand out in the line 😅. Don’t forget to enter your DTV No. in the VISA box on the online tdac nothing else to show just your passport, they have everything on their screens. Just be ready to do your finger scan in front of you when requested.. right hand fingers first, then left hand fingers, then both thumbs and await the welcome to Thailand pic 😍

I came in last week, just showed my passport, left and right finger scan, no thumbs, all stamped and done in a few mins!

Better get such a remark from you than from somebody having brains.or intelligence.

What are you doing here anyway when the only thing you can do is insulting others.

And yes I know I should not feed trolls, but sometimes it is just necessary.

@Sterling ******
The group is mainly for real questions, not for questions that could have been easily nswered by simply putting 4 letters "TDAC" into Google to get all the answers you need, which was in fact easier than what OP did now.

I know some say there are no stupid questions, but you might expect some effort from a user.

Apart from that, this goup is about DTV, not about TDAC.
Luit *****************

@Sterling ******
Does this group say in the description it is for any question about all subjects?

It is not a chatbox!

So your comment a question is a question might be true, but completely irrelevant here.

But maybe you should improve your reading capabilities dmbass, before making this kind of comments.

But it completely proves the comment of
@Jerry **********
that for some there is no hope...

You’ll need to fill out a TDAC no more than 3 days prior to arrival or if you really want you can do it when you land.
