Has anyone applied for and received a DTV as a creative (ie, artist, writer, artisan, musician, etc)? I'm actually attempting to spend extended time in Thailand to pursue a career change from healthcare but I don't have any particularly recent projects to show and my resume would just reflect my healthcare background and education for which I do not have a remote job lined up.

I have published a children's book in the past. I do have my own registered LLC as just my name in my home state.

I could *create* a position as I did work remotely before. I plan to apply at the hcmc consulate if that helps.

Hello all, Iā€™m applying on Monday in the UK for DTV! I am self employed and do content creation for companies (called UGC) and also social media. I have contracts for companies I work with and will be submitting my cover letter and my NI number. For the portfolio itself as they are all videos do you know how I can submit a video on pdf? Or if I even need to? Iā€™m unsure how else I can prove the work that I do - any help would be appreciated šŸ™šŸ¼

Can a web design freelancer successfully obtain a DTV visa if they have a web portfolio but no clients (as of yet). I'm a web developer who'd like to switch to web design freelancing once I reach Thailand. However, I don't have any clients yet; just my freelancing website and two spec sites I've created (which look quite professional, if I do say so myself). If I apply and include screenshots of my three websites in a PDF when applying for a DTV, what are the chances I'll be approved without a first client? I should add that I can more than meet the financial requirements. Thanks.
