TLDR : Answer Summary
The general consensus in the comments is that Jomtien Immigration will be open on Christmas Day, which is considered a normal workday for immigration services in Thailand. It was noted that Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, when immigration offices will be closed. Some commenters emphasized that Thailand is a Buddhist country and do not celebrate Christmas, which influences the operational hours.

Be aware that Christmas Eve is on a Sunday, so Immigration is closed on the 24th December . 🤗

Holidays in December where immigration is closed are the 5th and 11th (other than weekends). Christmas Day is a “normal” workday for immigration.

and yet, in 2019, I had trouble getting a hold of anyone at Bumrungrad Hospital in late December. I was told it was due to Christmas.

It is not an unreasonable question.

That's a private business. All it takes is one google search to see what the Thai official government holidays are.

understood. It’s still not an unreasonable question.

why would they close on Christmas? It’s a weird question and ethnocentric to not know that most people in the world don’t celebrate or care about Christmas
Ruth *******
@John *******
well, I don’t celebrate Christmas, yet I’ve encountered places around the world that I’ve been surprised were closed on Christmas. It’s a question. It harms no one, but appearing at a closed office is problematic.
