TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about Muay Thai schools in Chiang Mai that hold a license from the Sport Authority of Thailand. Commenters suggested 'Muay Thai Fever' and 'Xmax X Max Thai Boxing Club' as options. One commenter confirmed that Muay Thai Fever has all the necessary licenses, while another user asked about experiences with 'Combat Chiang Mai'.

there are requirements for the Muay Thai training school to meet to have their students approved for the DTV visa.

MANY Muay Thai training schools have met the requirements and provided the BB needed support documents to be submitted with the application for the DTV visa

how much does it cost? Do you have to stay in Chiang Mai after you get the visa?

Anonymous participant 112 Muay Thai Fever Gym supported my dtv application for a course fee of B15k, which is now the cheapest in Chiangmai, I think.

I think they might have raised their prices to B20k, according to their website. Not sure. If you ask Derry nicely, I bet he might still do it for B15k.

26 lessons; one per week for 6 months.

My original primary motivation was the dtv but the trainers make it so much fun. It's given me newfound energy. The only downside is that I'm eating a LOT more protein.

Mostly eggs 🥚 🪺 n mushrooms 🍄.

Anonymous participant 112 you can stay wherever you want after Got the visa.

with that attitude you as an applicant should be DENIED any Thai Visa and deported for fraudulently obtaining a Thai Visa.

I think that's harsh mate. The DTV is not an education visa. They want to encourage Muay Thai study combined with tourism.

Many of my Muay Thai Fever applicants are doing there course with flexibility

Our 6 month course gives them 26 classes but can be done whenever they choose. Do a month training, travel a month etc is perfectly acceptable with the DTV

cannot choose any gym. MUST be the one which has provided the documents acceptable to the Thai Embassy or Consulate where they are applying for the DTV Visa. If it's with the sponsor gym...then ok ☺️

Anonymous participant 112 Yes during the Muay Thai training school course. There' are other gyms which also have success.

Where will you be living in Thailand?
