If you had to choose between gulf of Thailand’s East Coast and West Coast for Retirement, which one would you pick — and why?

I’m especially curious about your experiences with:

* Weather comfort (humidity, storms, seasonal differences)

* Cultural feel (local lifestyle, community vibe, authenticity)

* Active lifestyle options (bike-friendly long routes, outdoor sports, walking areas, etc.)

And if you think neither coast is ideal, I’d love to hear your alternative suggestions too! 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question comparisons focus on choosing between the East Coast and West Coast of the Gulf of Thailand for retirement. Factors of interest include weather comfort, cultural feel, and active lifestyle options. Comments suggest preferences for the West Coast due to better locations like Hua Hin and local authenticity, while others mention seasonal weather differences and encourage personal exploration to find preferences.

My suggestion is to go where YOU like it the best.

You want to retire, enjoy the rest of your life.

Stop doing what others tell you is good for you, stop going where others tell you to go.

You're free, go around and enjoy life to the fullest.

One big factor is if you enjoy sunrise or sunsets.

Weather better on east coast mid year and vice versa on West, id say the west side of the malay peninsula is best because not spoilt yet
