TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation reflects personal experiences and preferences regarding living in various cities in Thailand, such as Chiang Mai, Phuket, and areas like Hua Hin. Users mention factors like climate, cultural experiences, outdoor activities, living costs, and the bustling nature of cities influencing their choices. Chiang Mai is praised for its cultural richness and proximity to nature, but concerns are raised about air quality during the burn season. Other places like Hua Hin and regions in Isan offer peace and affordability, appealing to different lifestyles.

North of Phuket and go to Chiang Mai and other places in Thaïland during holidays!

Not south of Phuket...too many trafic!

I like to be not far of beaches but it's more expensive than Isan or the north of Thaïland.

It's not that simple. Chiang Mai is great but not from March to July, August.... it varies year to year

I think it's a personal choice, I enjoy the mountains, the culture, northern food. The temples are amazing. When it gets hot can just hop on the bike and within a few minutes you are up the mountain and cooler. During burn season, one can go on vacation to one of the other places.
