No more geographical restrictions at these locations.

Donors from the United Kingdom ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง, France ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ต and Ireland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช who were previously unable to donate due to "mad cow disease ๐Ÿ„" are now Welcomed Back at the National Blood Centre and the Regional Blood Centre Main Blood Banks. (Phuket, Chiang Mai, Chonburi, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Hua Hin, Phitsanulok) Special Processing for blood is needed. The large National Blood Centre in Bangkok and the Regional Blood Centres have the capability. NOT all blood banks in Thailand.

ALL Blood Types are needed and are used.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The National Blood Centre in Thailand has updated its donor eligibility criteria, now welcoming donors from the UK, France, and Ireland, who were previously restricted due to 'mad cow disease.' All blood types are needed, especially Rh-Negative, which is rare in the Thai population. Key qualifications include being under 60, no alcohol 24 hours prior, having a healthy meal, and bringing ID. The donation process takes under 10 minutes. The National Blood Centre and several regional blood centers are accepting these donations. There is a suggestion to have mobile stations near tourist attractions to facilitate donations.

Are there mobile stations? If they could donate close to their hotel/ beach ( ie main tourist attractions ) would be easier to get donors

There are mobile units that go all over Thailand. Each Regional Blood Centre has a fleet. They do go to hotels.

The only locations that can accept previously deferred donors from the United Kingdom ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง, etc, are those locations listed. Special processing for blood is needed.
