Just did my first boarder run today over chiang khong boarder to laos. (No visa run company involved)

No questions asked at all. Honestly, there was more a struggle at the lao boarder with that „IO‘s service fee“, then enterying thailand again 20min after i left it. Thailand‘s IO was super friendly and happy that i spoke a little thai and let me in with a big smile.

It‘s just the bus that drives over the bridge between the boarders. Don‘t know the numbers, you can‘t miss it though ;)

Went tonthe boarder with the car depart from thailand with the bus for 25thb, 5min drive to laos and the lao io officer asks for a in/out fee of 500thb, what i didn‘t pay. After that directly depart from lao again where the other io also asked for 200thb for in/out fee, where i just took my passport and walk away as this is the same illegal thing they try again. Tske the bus back to thailand for 40thb and welcomed back with a big smile of the thai io.

Overall takes like 30-40min for the boarder run

Yes. This isn‘t an official fee. Depends on your passport, you have to oay 2000thb for the visa on arrival +20thb tourist tax though, what are the only official fees you realy have to pay for
