I am a Bangladeshi. I am traveling to Chiang Mai in October 2024. I stayed here for 15 days. Chiang Mai is my favorite place to any other province in Thailand. I am interested in doing business here or in any city for Thailand. What is the process to start doing business here?
If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Bangladeshi individual is seeking advice on starting a business in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where he intends to travel for 15 days in October 2024. Community members provide various suggestions and insights, including the importance of market research, learning the language, forming local partnerships, cautioning against making hasty decisions, and recommending specific business ideas like opening a restaurant or selling umbrellas. There's an emphasis on understanding local business practices, the necessity of careful financial planning, and making informed long-term decisions.
Don’t decide things after 15days stay. If you have unlimited money then do it. But if you want to SME business owner then try to stay here more time and mix with people, make connections and learn the language. Also I don’t think asking here will do much help as it is visa help and to do business you must take help from agency.
I am not discouraging you. Just asking you to have more understanding of the situation. Do market research. If you are unmarried I will advise take your time and see if you can find good person for you. This is not your country and you don’t speak this country language. There will be people in every step to take advantage of that. Thai people are generally honest but the term is generally. There is lots of people here who is waiting to take your money not so honest way. I don’t think you will get legal help that much if that happened.
I write an essay here. Short version is try to live here for sometime and then decide. Otherwise people will ask you to sell umbrella.
