What is the application timeline for a workation visa in Thailand from HCMC?

Just got approved in HCMC today! 🎉 (Workation)

I asked a few questions here and the information from this group was very helpful, so I wanted to share my timeline in case it helps others.

Timeline

April 19 (Sunday) – Initial application submitted

April 22, around 18:00 – Additional documents requested

They asked for:

* Full passport, including blank pages (re-submit)

* Proof of current location and accommodation (re-submit)

* Photos showing the most recent date and time (re-submit)

* 6-month English bank statement with balance over 500,000 THB (re-submit)

* 6 months of salary slips / income proof, highlighted in transactions (re-submit for latest 3 months, other 3 months were newly submitted)

* Company profile, including history, vision, mission, products, achievements, and website (newly submitted)

April 23, before 9:00 AM – Re-submitted additional documents

For current location proof, I submitted new photos:

* In front of my hotel

* In front of my room number while holding the room card key

* At a nearby landmark / church

I also displayed the current date and time on my laptop using time.is for Ho Chi Minh City because I could not find a newspaper nearby.

For financial evidence, I carefully explained the relationship between my savings account and fixed deposit account. I also added 6 months of invoices and highlighted the relevant income transactions.

Then there were several public holidays at the consulate, so the waiting time felt quite long.

May 6 (today) – 5th working day after resubmission, excluding the resubmission date and public holidays

* Around 08:30 – Sent a polite follow-up via LINE

* Around 11:30 – Status changed to Pending Approval (no reply to LINE)

* Around 14:20 – Approved 🎉

In my case, after the status changed to Pending Approval, it was approved about 3 hours later.
