TLDR : Answer Summary
The drive-thru service for the 90-day reporting at Chiang Mai immigration is operational. Users report that the process is quick and efficient, often taking less than five minutes. While a printed form is not strictly required, it is advisable to carry your last 90-day report in your passport for smooth processing.

you don't have to, but you should to prevent any breaks in your passport or in the system

I did last week at CM airport immigration drive through, at 1:22 pm on 27 Wednesday. no one in front of me, no forms needed. Just gave passport with last 90 day report in it. Finished in one minute. Was GREAT !!!

I have done drive through recently and it was really good. Gave my passport and filled form. The whole process was done in less than 5 minutes. They are open but be aware that there is a lunch break when they close. After that I think they open again at 13:30.
is the drive-thru at the airport immigration office or at Promenada?

I'm *NOT* in Chiang Mai, however I understand the 90 day reporting system is operating as normal, even the drive through service. You'd continue submitting whatever forms you used to submit when you file your 90 day report.
