Benjamin, could you please advise where you sent your information? Thank you very much, btw. Because I cannot find it in any of my notifications. Thank you. Additionally, I guess I just could have asked - how do I get a non- retirement visa when I came in as visa exempt, but I wanted the group to understand that we have tried to meet the requirements… thank you.

Usually, when *I* decline a post, I leave a message. It'll be in the Facebook messenger spam settings 🙁
For your original banking question, to open up a bank account, You will need:
- Your passport AND;
- A letter from the immigration office verifying your address OR;
- A letter from your embassy saying you live at an address (if you're American, you'd use the Blank Affidavit form)
EACH bank branch has their own requirements though. I suggest asking the question in a local Facebook group; the people there can help you.

Each immigration office has different requirements. You will need to transfer 800K THB in a Thai Bank Account, provide proof the money is in the bank, and for Bangkok Immigration have 15 days or more remaining on your existing "admitted to" stamp.
