ORIGINAL POSTERIs there any particular visa requirement to get a savings account here. Is a W-P 100% required? Any banks for more tourist friendly than others? Ask for a long-term tourist friend

ORIGINAL POSTERHas anyone been recently granted a W-P without having to leave the country? I have someone ready to hire me but apparently there's a only slim chance that the government agency contractor will waive the visa run requirement.

ORIGINAL POSTERI am seeking confirmation on previous question regarding cancellation of W-P/Non-B visa. If I want to avoid the 7-day extension, can I go with the HR staff a few days before and designate a future expiration date? For example go in (I'm at Chamchuree office) on 27 Mar and ask for 31 Mar expiration. Then fly out on the 31st. Possible?
