ORIGINAL POSTERI submitted my application for the non-o retirement visa on March 20. I received a request for verification of funds on March 28. Since then my status has been changed to processing pending approval. I applied online to the New York Embassy. Does it usually take this long, and can I call to check if everything is ok?

ORIGINAL POSTERThis is sort of from another post. But I'm on a marriage visa and was told the only time the verification of funds matters is two months prior to applying or reapplying for your marriage visa. Is this true?
