TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around the recent launch of Nordic Airlines' non-stop flights from Manchester to Bangkok, operating once a week as a seasonal route. Comments reveal varying opinions on the service quality, luggage policies, and pricing. Some travelers noted that while the airline is budget-friendly, it charges extra for checked luggage and other amenities. Comparisons with alternative airlines and their experiences highlight the differences between 'non-stop' and 'direct' flights.

Absolutely nothing wrong with Norse as long as you are aware that no food, no drinks and no luggage is included. My route is usually Oslo - Bangkok.

Friends have used them, some have encountered delays, that can happen with any airline IMO.

They call me twice when I enquired, new planes but budget is what you get unless pay the extras you want but same legroom as the big names

Very very cheap if hand luggage only and no meals.

There is 6 levels of pricing, add on luggage, meals, choice of seats etc.which obviously ups the fare.

Is it 'non stop' or 'direct'? There's a big difference.

Very rarely do budget airlines fly 'non stop'

Direct quite often has a stopover, but you don't change planes. Refuelling and some passenger changes. I got caught like that, paid for direct thinking it was non stop, couldn't believe it when we landed half way to Bangkok 😂

I flew back with Norse in December. BKK to Manchester.

If you read the reviews then yes they aren't great. I was also very cautious after what I read. But most are around strict luggage etc. If you read their guidelines and stick to them they are no problem at all.

It's no frills and as basic as it comes but for the price they charge what do people expect. I had no problems at all and would use them again.

I agree with your thoughts . If a Company cannot resolve a query /problem they do not inspire any confidence with potential customers to book a seat...

The Manchester to BKK is a seasonal route only unfortunately. (Thailand's high season) one flight per week.

I am looking to leave Manchester next month and return in December. At this moment the last flights you can book are the end of March.
