Can I extend my tourist visa the day after it expires without a fine if the immigration office was closed?

i was going to get a 30 day extension to my 60 day tourist visa wich runs out on Monday, but just found out that they are closed until Tuesday because of holiday, can I go Tuesday and just pay a 500 baht overstay fine or are there any other consoquences ?
