Business day 8 since applying for DTV visa. Went from requesting more docs to pending approval back to pending document check… but I heard this is normal. American using Ho Chi Minh City embassy.

Hi All,

Just want to share my experience in getting an Approved DTV.

Thai Embassy: Ho Chi Minh City

Type: Workcation (remote employee)

Applied from Location: Hoi An

Documents Supplied:

1. Photo of passport

2. Photo taken within last 6 months

3. Proof of current location

- photo of arrival stamp into Vietnam

- accommodation booking in Hoi An

- photo of boarding pass

4. Financial Documents

- bank statement from the last 6 months showing at least 500,000 baht

5. Employment Documents

- original employment contract

- certificate of employment from my employer stating I can work remote.

- latest payslip

- employer's company registration information

Timeline:

Submitted application for DTV - 2pm 28th Nov 2024

(Payment came up with error 500 but did go through when I refreshed the page and checked my bank account)

Additional Documents Requested - 7pm 29th Nov 2024 They requested documents giving detail on my current job and 6 months of payslips. I provided a job description document and the 6 months of payslips.

Pending Approval - 1pm 6th Dec 2024

Approved - 3pm 6th Dec 2024

NOTE: 5th Dec was a Thai Holiday.
