Has the Honda Click 125 been discontinued in Thailand, and what are the alternatives?
This probably does not belong in this group so mods feel free not to post it if inappropriate. I was going to buy a new Honda Click 125 for a friend in Thailand. He has just phoned me from the dealer to say it has been discontinued. Is this true and if so what is the closest you can get to this bike in specifications and price? Thanks for your help.
Answer summary
An expat inquired about the discontinuation of the Honda Click 125 in Thailand, prompted by a dealer's claim. The community responded with varying insights, suggesting that while there is confusion, current information indicates that the Click 125 may still be available alongside newer models such as the Click 160. Some members suspect that the dealer might be misleading due to inventory issues or shifts in demand from 125cc to 150cc and 160cc models. Recommendations included checking multiple dealers and local forums for more accurate information.

just know that the motorbike is still available despite what you've been told. When I bought my Click 160 in August, they had about 8 or 9 125s in stock, but had to wait for the 160.John ***********

Thanks. Just wish I could open the link in Australia.

I think the last two Click models were/are a dangerous design. In an accident the pointed fairings on the front sides could rip your leg off or easily break it. The Honda Lead looks much safer.

The Honda clicks is now a 160. They may have discontinued the Honda click 125 version but I just bought my wife the Click 160 this past week 72,000฿.

I have rented motorcycles in several SE countries. There almost always have a Click style motorcycle, named something different. Given the popularity of the bike I doubt they'll discontinue it anytime soon. They may rebrand it but I am skeptical of that.

I have the new 160 special edition with 110 K on for sale four months old

may I ask what is the special edition making it more than 40,000 more than a standard click 160? John ***********
OPThanks to everyone including those who provided the info on the 150 and 160. I am very grateful for your help. Mods can close this now if they wish.

If you are in Thailand perhaps you can find out for yourself by checking other dealers and websites and so on rather than relying on the info of a friend who maybe has a motive

I am not in Thailand and the Thailand Honda site will neither open on the web nor Facebook and there are 'no Honda price listings', complete opposite of the Philippines. Fortunately expats in here and to a lesser extent ThaiVisa have given me all this information to me here plus more. To them I very grateful. I never wanted to be fully reliant on my friend, though it's not him who was the problem.

We wanted to replace our old 125 Click and did so with the new 160 Click. A much improved version. We were told there would be a 1month wait but it arrived in less than a week 😀.

They have not made click 125i for a few years. They did 150i for about 2 years, but now I believe they only make the click 160i. The lead was the replacement for click 125i.
Jeffrey **********
@Charles *******
They make both 125cc and 160cc (155cc actually)

Are they cutting out the Honda Wave, an epic bike. In South Africa they have already cut that one out

@Paul *******
, the Wave is epic!

@Rene *******
very much doubt it, I saw a YouTube video recently which stated that just under half of all bikes sold in Thailand were Wave 110 or 125s.John ***********

The 125 is meant to be the most popular Thai bike. The majority of ordinary folk have to buy on finance and an extra *****
baht for a city run around may seem a price too high.Rene ********
@John **********
agree. All these companies pushing development all the time when you invent something almost perfect, why not stay with it? Tuning the tires into moronic consumers seems to be the AIM

Look on Facebook market place you will get many bikes there in good condition. Honda Yamaha

Mostly in stock is 150cc as more people going for 150cc instead of 125cc. Most likely the dealer is not going to order 125cc for stock. Or another option is the Honda scoopy 110cc.

For some weird reason I cannot open the Thai Honda site on the web or Facebook in Australia. I am also informed there are no price listings from Honda in Thailand. Totally different story with their page and information in the Philippines.Scotty *******

tell your friend to get the click 160 10,000 baht more more power alittle bigger good ride a friend has a new one Korat honda has themJohn ***********
OP@Scotty ******
This bike is for his wife. I am sure he would like a 160 for himself over his 125. If he paid the *****
baht extra, perhaps he could do a swap. He would certainly maintain and service the bike better than she did her last one. It's pretty frustrating trying to coordinate a scooter purchase from Australia, starting with the lying saleman today in the 'trusted dealership' then moving on to the Honda sites which won't open here.Martyn ***********
@John **********
well I've just looked and there's a 125...

There’s nothing I’m aware of that suggests Honda is going to discontinue the click, I’ve heard of a hybrid model coming.
Smells like a dealer trying up sell or save a sale because they don’t have inventory. But I’m not absolutely certain.
