Hello, I hope everyone is well. I submitted my mother’s Thailand visa application on the 5th of November from Australia while she was visiting. The embassy requested additional documents on the 12th, which I uploaded straight away. Since then, the status has been showing “Pending Approval”, and I haven’t received any further updates.

My mother is a Bangladeshi citizen and lives in Bangladesh so not sure if this is a reason for delay. Her flight is on the 26th of this month, so I’m getting a bit worried.

Is anyone else experiencing the same long “Pending Approval” status? Is this normal at the moment? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you 🙏

I have a theoretical question for the experts here. My (non-Thai) wife and I are here on non-resident O visas. The visa is in my name, and my wife is here as spouse.

I have recently heard that in the event of my untimely demise, my wife would have 5 days to either leave the country or else apply for a new visa in her name, with the requisite paperwork.

Is this true? If so, we will have to re-think our status at renewal time.
