Hi I'm preparing the documents required.⌛️

How many days in advance prepare the application? Is it reasonable to have it ready 2 weeks before, and then when arriving in Hanoi paying and submit?

Just got approved in Hanoi, Thank you to everyone on this group for all your information that made my application process so smooth!

December 3rd - Applied

December 4th - "Pending Approval"

December 9th - Approved

So all in all it took 7 days, but with the National Holiday and Weekend. A total of 4 Working Days.

I did the Soft Power Application. This is the following things I had.

Muay Thai Training Documents

Cover Letter

Company Recommendation Letter of Remote Working

6 Months of Bank Statements with Highlighted Income and ending balance over 500,000 ฿

Proof of location - Photo of Entry Stamp, Flight Ticket into Vietnam, Boarding Pass, Air BnB Receipt for Accommodation

Is there a resume’ or additional personalised note submission for soft power applications? I am at step 4 at online submission. So far it did not ask me for justification but only asked for documents upload.

It would’ve been better for clarity if I could explain and justify my previous stays in Thailand and why I am switching to DTV

I succesfully obtained my DTV Visa in Jakarta using Tiger Eye Muay Thai and MMA gym for my soft power application. They were very helpful with providing all the necessary documents needed and open with answering questions!

I applied sunday night, Monday it went to status pending approval and Wednesday it was approved without a request for additional documents. (3 business days processing)

I provided 6 months of tx history even if I read that people got accepted with 1 month history and I put 600K THB equivalant (EUR) on my bank instead of 500K just to be sure. (The majority of the money was transfered to my main account a couple of days to a week before applying because I didn't have it on 1 account)

Important concerns I had before applying:

* Can you have a job outside of thailand while applying with softpower - Answer is yes. I work remotely (not that the TH gov knows) and they approved my application. I chose this route to save myself hassle.

* Can I prefill my application while in thailand and submit it once abroad - Yes.

* Do I need to show the proof of finances on the day of submission - No, I printed the pdf of my statements 2-3 days before submission but the closer towards submission date the better I'd say.

* I used [members only] to translate my bank statements to english. Way better than google translate!

Good luck if you're still applying!
