I know it has been covered many times re: 12 months of 65,000 bank deposit for the FIRST non-o one year extension not being able to be used. BUT after several phone calls to the Phuket IO both in Thai and English, they say we can.

I guess only a trip there will give the real answer. We also have the 800,000 ready just in case. WE ALL KNOW WHY!!

Hi all, first post on this highly recommended page.

Currently jumping through paperwork hoops for a Non-Imm "O" visa.

Anyone know if the Canadian consulate office in Chiang Mai issues statements of pension income and if so is there a charge?

Used to be a notorized letter from my Canadian financial institution was sufficent when getting the visa in Canada. Everything's online now which took my service level from 3 days to 3 weeks :(
