Is there a grace period for the 90-day immigration report if I leave Thailand shortly after my 90-day period?

I understand that the 90 day (report) notification must be made either no earlier than 15

days before or no later than 7 days after the 90 day period expires.

If one leaves Thailand, let´s say 3 days after the end of the 90 day

period...and returns 4 weeks later to Thailand letting the 90 day period

restart from 0...is there then no need to make the notification before

the departure since it would be still within the 7 day period?
