TLDR : Answer Summary
Submitting a wrong flight number on your visa application may not cause problems, as many applicants have reported being approved despite this mistake. Once the visa is granted, travelers can enter Thailand on any flight, and issues arise only if the flight number doesn't correspond to a flight to Thailand. It is advisable to check if the visa was submitted to an embassy known for not scrutinizing flight numbers, as this can affect the outcome.

The application requires you to have a flight booked to Thailand? How can this be - if the waiting time is 5 business days, and if they request more information, it resets, how can we know when we can enter asap?
Thanks, going in two weeks trying to be ready.

The expected way to get DTV, is that you apply from your homecountry before going to Thailand, it is after all a tourist visa.
Then it doesnāt matter if the processing time is 2 or 3 weeks.
In the application, they asked for the return flight number. I didnāt book a return flight. I just checked the flight number on Trip .com and the estimated date is 5 days after my submission date. I bought the flight ticket after my DTV was approved.
doesn't make any difference once the visa is approved you can enter on what ever flight you want OR by land even
NOW if they catch that the flight number you entered is not even a flight to thailand they could reject the visa application (and you'd lose the money if they do)
