Hello everyone,

I'm done with turbo tax, they really messed up my 2024 taxes. May I please know what you all do for your taxes. Yes I'm from the U.S.A.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around various tax preparation methods used by expats in Thailand, particularly focusing on US tax filing. Many participants express satisfaction with software like TurboTax, H&R Block, and FreeTaxUSA, while others recommend hiring a CPA for more complex situations. Some specific tax service providers, such as American International Tax Advisors, are also mentioned as proficient in handling US taxes within the context of the Thai/US tax treaty.

I have been using HR Block online for over 5 years and have been very satisfied, though my taxes are fairly simple being single, no dependents, salary, and equities trading only.

Using them since at least 2003. Zero issues even with more complex returns with my own LLC, rental property and W2 income.

I did my taxes with TurboTax one year for comparison. Same results with TurboTax and FreeTaxUSA.

American International Tax Advisors. Office in Bangkok but it doesn’t matter where you are. They did my US taxes and they are familiar with the Thai/US tax treaty.

Just curious how Turbo Tax messed up. They only use the numbers that you enter. Been using them for over 10 years and never had any issues.
