SCAM ALERT! They charge you 100 thb to access the road to the view point even though they have nothing to do with it. Will collect your money again at the view point so don't pay them!!! It used to be a nice bar, sad to see what they are doing now...

We had some drinks and funny conversation here. He told us something about the island where to save some money.

Terrible experience! At first, the people were super friendly. We negotiated two bottles of gas with a guy called Joe. When we had agreed, he filled the two bottles in our tank. However, when I gave him the money, he refused me the change. He did not talk to himself any more and to top it off he just laughed. When we disagreed, he and his friend threatened us. My advice to all who want to Mango View Point, avoid this terrible place with its fraudulent people! They just want to cheat on you.

I wouldn't recommend stopping at this bar. The owners are very unfriendly and cheat when possible. We negotiated that we buy gasoline for a cheaper price but after paying he didn't give us back our change. Just be careful here.

Fraud!!!! Anyone who leaves their scooter out of sight here or around the viewpoints must expect the tires to be destroyed. Since you are very far out there, you have no choice but to have the tire changed there for 400 baht. (Original) Betrug!!!! Wer hier oder rund um die Aussichtspunkte sein Scooter aus den Augen lässt muss damit rechnen das die Reifen kaputt gemacht werden. Da man dort sehr weit außerhalb ist bleibt einem nichts anderes übrig als den Reifen dort für 400 baht wechseln zu lassen.

Cute decor. Run by a bunch of friendly old alco’s. Didn’t feel entirely safe. They had cold Coca-Cola though, so not all bad.

BE CAREFUL: SCAMER!! When you drive with scooter please be careful. We went there for a trip, when we wanted to drive back we realised that we had a flat tire. Suprisingly in 1 km there is a motorbyke repair, and they charge you to pay 400 thb for fixing. Normally they charge the locals 150 thb. So have an eye on your scooter. Conclusion: Next time we will go there by boat.

Chill place in the mountain jungle. Nice to relax

If you walk to Mango Bay from here, you should allow an hour to get to the beach. You can go down with a scooter if you have experience!!! Partly 80% incline/descent. Half of the path is concrete, you pay 100bht and then there are about 400 stairs😉 It's worth it, the sun loungers are free and snorkeling is great. (Original) Wer von hier aus zu Mango Bay läuft sollte eine Stunde einplanen bis zum Strand. Man kann runterfahren mit dem Scooter, wer Erfahrung hat!!! Teilweise 80% Steigung/Gefälle. Hälfte des Weges ist betoniert, man bezahlt 100bht und dann folgen ca.400Treppen😉 Es lohnt sich, die Sonnenliegen sind kostenfrei und Schnorcheln super schön.

Coffee was okay, however there was a poor monkey chained up and you could clearly see he was stressed and not happy.

Stopped here for a coffee, which was okay. However, very disturbed by the treatment of a poor monkey tied up opposite the bar. It had a 1 meter rope around it’s neck and was clearly stressed, trying to escape and pacing up and down. Would avoid again for this reason, release the poor thing.

HUGE FRAUD HERE. We were going with motorbike to mango bay when we first saw the bar. We were deciding whether to continue as the road was very muddy and seemed unsafe. So a woman from JIM'S BAR came and reassured us about the road, and we continued, made our way to the beach and parked the bike. When we took again our motorbike we saw that the tire was cut... It's difficult to believe that's just a coincidence that Jim Bar also is a tire repairer (btw charging 400 THB per tire while at Sairee you'd pay about 150), even more if you consider that another couple we met at the bar had exactly the same experience. If you wander around mango bay, beware.

BIG SCAM! On the way to Mango Bay we pass by this bar which also does “Motor Bike Repair”. There we hesitate to continue on foot as the road is in very poor condition, a gentleman comes out of the bar and strongly recommends that we continue on a scooter... strange. Finally we leave our scoot 50m further and continue on foot. When we returned a few hours later, we found our rear tire flat with a nail right in the middle stuck straight into it! As luck would have it, right next to this bar/repairman who extorts 400bath from us to repair our tire (while the price in Sairee is 150bath). A word of advice leave your scooter as soon as you leave the main road or after this Jim’s Bar... (Original) GROSSE ARNAQUE! Sur le chemin de Mango bay nous passons en scoot devant ce bar qui fait aussi « Motor Bike Repair ». Là nous hésitons à continuer à pied la route étant en très mauvais état, un monsieur sort du bar et nous recommande chaudement de continuer en scoot... étrange. Finalement nous laissons notre scoot 50m plus loin et continuons à pied. À notre retour quelques heures plus tard, nous trouvons notre pneu arrière à plat avec un clou en plein milieu bien droit enfoncé dedans! Comme par hasard juste à côté de ce bar/réparateur qui nous extorque 400bath pour réparer notre pneu (alors que le prix à Sairee est de 150bath). Un conseil laissez votre scoot dès la sortie de la route principale ou bien après ce Jim’s Bar...

One of the best place on earth

Kinda fishy place.. But serves instant Coffee if you wandered about there to get a sunrise view. The guy there was a nice guy to talk to, but seem to have affected by loneliness & some cop troubles.... But it;s a really isolated place and would not recommend go there late night... But the view point around it is beautiful..

Super funny guys there. Food tastes very good. Drinks are also great. Be sure to stop by (Original) Super lustige Typen dort. Essen schmeckt sehr gut. Drinks sind ebenfalls super. Unbedingt vorbei schauen

A great place in the middle of the jungle! Pure nature, cool drinks and shakes! I was there at 10:30, perfect! There is also the possibility of sleeping here for 100 bath a night 😎 Nice Thai Food, fair drinks, cheap bed and really worth a visit! (Original) Ein toller Platz mitten im Dschungel! Natur pur, kühle Getränke und Shake's! Ich war 10 vor halb 5 da, perfekt! Die Möglichkeit hier für 100 bath die Nacht zu schlafen ist auch gegeben 😎 Nice Thai Food, fair drinks cheap bett and really worth a visit!

I love this nice and cozy bar. The owners are very friendly and cute. They even wanted to take pictures of me and my father 😂. Note: the hike from Jims Bar to Mango Bay is about 1.6km and takes about 20-30min. Enjoy!
