Looks abandoned... nice jungle place though

Seems not to be used anymore? Road totally trash towards it, herd of loud dogs welcoming me and nobody seems to to go there anymore...so i turned around. Looks great but very remote, probably not really running anymore like most of the things in this area.

Fantastic hidden place on the edge of the jungle: good Thai food, Indian Chai (tea), camping, massage, 2 proper rooms and an.... authentic Thai herbal sauna! While at this place you experience how Koh Chang was 20, 30 or maybe even 40-years ago! Super rugged, jungle and animals everywhere and a very nice vibe. Just having a drink here (a Chai) is already in experience in itself!! The herbal sauna is absolutely a recommendation. It isn't as hot as you would expect and the owner uses traditional Thai herbs to fill the room with steam. We used it on a warm day, but still it was fantastic and not too hot, we could cool down in the pool outside (filled with fresh mountain water, so chilling cold!). The owner offered us Chai and we had some great food afterwards. DEFINITELY one of our favorite experiences at Koh Chang! The sauna is not cheap (500thb p/p) and need to be booked in advance (because the owner needs to do a lot of preparation) but it's absolutely worth the price! You can use it as long as you want and can make a nice (half) day trip out of it : steam room - cold bath - steam room - eat some great food - have a massage - again steam room etc :)). We went back for the herbal sauna 3 times during our stay at Koh Chang :D
