You will need proof of residence obtained from local immigration. Passport, house book, tm 30, house owners id card all signed plus whatever else they think of. Photograph.

What should I do after my Agoda hotel booking was cancelled and my Agoda cash expired?

I don't use Agoda any more after several issues including their cash back points which appear to be worthless. If you are logged in it gives you a so called discount but if you go on line anonymously the price is the same.

the main issue was that an agent got it for me as they had my passport for renewal. I needed it because my new passport took so long to arrive.

This company give a first class Visa service and take care ig everything. I have used them three times and they were actually cheaper for renewing my passport than if I had done it myself. Ask for Gollfy.

Will insurance companies cover drivers with an International Drivers License in Thailand?

I rented a car for several months using IDP and UK driving license. The car rental company phoned their insurers while I was in the office and I was assured that I was covered. I later got a Thai driving license and insurance to cover my own vehicle. I did actually damage the rental car quite badly and only paid 3000 baht excess.
