Get a Thai drivers license while your idp is valid. More use than your passport in many situations.

Make sure you have signed papers from previous owner agreeing to sale. Dealer might not own the car or understand what a fallang needs to register in own name. Might need to change plates if outside home province. For insurance Mr. Prakan is good. Get the car tested and taxed if necessary. Make sure there is no back tax to pay.

No, Nakhon Phanom. Tod said I should have challenged them but I hate to think what the consequences would have been had I made the officer loose face. Best to stay on side so I went back the following week. I was only 3 days short!

Please ask at your immigration office as mine (it could be the only one) insusts on money banked for 3 months and I nearly came unstuck.

with a stamp from bkk the only thing they would not do in my home province is change the stamp to my new passport. I had tm30 registered in home province.

Try the same branches again. I went back to a branch of Bangkok Bank 4 times before I got an account. Get the non o yourself if you possibly can.
