But IF the child's current school and the new school can collaborate closely for you, there might be a possibility that you may be able to apply for a new visa and the following extension for your child and you without leaving Thailand. If you mean Non-O based on retirement for one of you at the Thai embassy or inside Thailand, and Non-O dependent (if you can manage to apply somehow) outside Thailand, only Non-O visa based on retirement holder needs to meet the financial requirement. dependent doesn't have financial requirements.

, officers have their job to do as you say. However keeping the passport legally and legit including the stamps on it is the passport owner's responsibility, not the officers'. Humans make mistakes.

Technically you have to keep your 400k baht for “the rest of the year” of your extension, means until 19 June 2024. But as you already got a new yearly extension, the chance of being checked the balance in your account would be a slim (but cannot guarantee on any single different scenario). Your decision which way you want to go.

, no it’s not possible if they want to apply for Non-O based on retirement. US citizen can not get affidavit of monthly income, or use 65k baht monthly international transfers for in-country Non-O visa based on retirement and for the first yearly extension.

if you mean you opened your 800k baht account in January 2024, THIS year, you need to get the bank transaction history with your another account as well to make the whole 1 year history to show you keep the regulation of 800 k for three months after your current extension granted last august and keep 400 k baht for the rest of the year.

You go to the "standard" counters at passport control, not the counters for Visa On Arrival.

As a rule, you should have 3 proofs (accommodation, onward travel, funds), better to be prepared than to be sorry without them.

, you mean Multiple Entry Non-O based on marriage to a Thai that you apply at the Thai embassy, not inside Thailand. And unfortunately, it is not available on eVisa system anymore since the system update last October.
