> I tried to ask my hotel, but it looks like they dont understand what I want or need. So I downloaded the app - but as guest I cant register, correct?
Correct. I suggest showing them a copy of a printout of a TM30. It's called "Section 38". If you show them what you want, they should be able to produce it for either the middle or bottom part. If they still don't know what a TM30 is, show them this movie
(It's from the Thai government. It's in Thai, subbed in English)
>Should I maybe switch my hotel to be sure I'm at a place that does the reporting?
That's an option, but make sure they will complete.
>For the other self register things I need document from my hotel?
IF you're using Bangkok Immigration, and you want to self register, you need a lease. I don't know what the self registration process is for other provinces though.
Different immigration offices have different policies. Advice given for Kanchanburi may not apply for Phuket (for example). The poster is using Korat ("Nakhon Ratchasima"). Advice about Kanchanburi isn't relevant, and won't be helpful.
If you entered "visa free", you entered on a 30 day visa exempt.
If you got ONE 60 day extension, that would be a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19. This would give you a total of 90 days.
You can EITHER:
1. [BEST OPTION] Apply for another 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19. This is the best option because you can get "unlimited" of these extensions, until the immigration office says "no" (or the stop selling them) OR;
2. Apply for a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism. A person can get ONE 30 day extension of stay based on tourism for each entry.
See my pinned/ featured post for more information about the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.
It depends on what visa you entered on. People who entered on a visa exempt use Muang Thong Thani, people who entered on a tourist visa use Changwattana
