You cant do the 60 days TR in Chiang Mai, you could get it in Vietnam or just enter visa exempt for 30 days.

Immigration told me it was one or the other not both. Sisaket, Ubon and Jomtiem Offices.

Sure. 3 times I've had the 'thai dependant relative' 60 days, that's all Immigration gave me, they wouldn't give 30 days first and then 60 days.
Steve *******
Each entry with that visa gets you stamped in for 90 days

You cant get both extentions on 1 visa/visa exempt. It's 60 days if you have Thai dependants or 30 if you dont!

Some Immigration Offices only allow the 60 days, I've only ever got the 60 days, never both.

Exactly, just get the visa you need. Why do people advise to get a TR visa when you can just get the visa you actually need.

Yes you have to show the 400k but it doesn't need 2 months seasoning for the visa!

The 2 months seasoning is only required for the 1 year extention of stay NOT for the Non Imm O visa.

No need for insurance and police clearance in the UK, no need to buy a TR visa, no need for onward travel, easier to open a bank account and no extra trip to Immigration. It's a no brainer getting the Non Imm O in the UK.
