Your statement is incorrect. If you have the funds seasoned already you will immediately get your certificate of deposit. If not seasoned for four months you will be asked to agree to holding the funds in your account for that time period in order to immediately get your certificate of deposit. If you are using the monthly transfer method then you do not need the lump sum.
