There is lots of people posting absolute rubbish about the current banking situation. Opening a bank account on a Non-O is no more difficult now than it was in previous years. Yes people have issues, trying to open an account in Nakhon Nowhere is going to more difficult than in a tourist area. All the people reporting problems have not supplied any facts regarding the documentation the banks are asking for. Every list I have seen requires a long stay visa. Not a single report that a branch requires you to be on an extension of stay in order to open an account. If someone has such evidence please post it.
