 Thailand taxes foreign sourced assessable income on remittance. Just because income is paid overseas doesn’t mean it won’t be taxed by Thailand.

 “potentially cannot be issued a tax number or be liable for tax in Thailand”....unfortunately false, the opposite is true. DTV holders can indeed get TIN’s and attract a tax liability.
